I hate it when people ask what I do for a living. Sometimes, I am tempted to answer “Chief Cook and Dishwasher” or “Senior Utusan” or just plain “Peon/Pisante” because those occupations are far easier to explain compared to Writer. When I say I am a writer, the follow up questions are “Where do you write,” “What do you write,” and the most dreaded “Where can I read your work?”
