So far, I’ve given a brief introduction of what internet marketing is so feel free to check out what I’ve talked about before. This time, I’ll be giving you some basic pointers that will help you on your journey towards earning income online through internet marketing. But before that, I need to warn you that this isn’t going to be a walk in the park. If you think that earning money online is as easy as pushing a button and waiting for the money to come then you are seriously mistaken. It will take hard work, focus and consistent action to be successful with internet marketing. There’s no such thing as an overnight millionaire although some courses or products will let you believe so.
Most of you probably have a full time job so I recommend that you start learning about internet marketing basics on your free time. Spend an hour or two everyday on it and make sure to start taking action as soon as possible. You won’t go anywhere if you over analyze things or worry too much about failing on your first attempt.
In my case, I also started part time. I studied the modules in the membership site that I joined after coming home from work. I started taking action by following the steps they provided as soon as possible. However, I got stuck at some point because I wasn’t sure how to proceed. That’s when I then started to jump from one method to another which caused me to lose focus.
I admit, it’s easy to fall for these shiny new courses or ebooks telling you that there’s a new method that will help you make money online. I was buying courses left and right without really trying very hard on one method. Sure, I did take action but it wasn’t consistent enough for me to earn a full income online.
This is what I want you to avoid by focusing only on one method at a time. Work on that method until you become successful. You see, if you can make one method work for you, the next logical step is to scale it up. No need to find another method and start from scratch. If it really doesn’t work for you then that’s the time that you look for another method to work on. Don’t get impatient or get distracted with other things, remember, it will take time before you see some money coming in.
Now, where do you exactly start learning about internet marketing? If you do a Google search, you will end up looking at different sites with tons of information. I’m sure you will end up with information overload and you will have a ton of questions and clarifications. To sift through the most basic things that you need to learn, I advise that you start reading about affiliate marketing.
Why affiliate marketing? Well, it’s the most simple way to get started earning online. You basically become an affiliate of a product or service then you earn a commission for every sale that you generate. Take note that selling online is different offline. To get started on affiliate marketing, you would need a site where you will be presenting the product or service then let people know about this site.
